Attainment reports
This is a quick guide for how to access class and student attainment reports on the ReallySchool app and portal.
Types of attainment reports
Class attainment – Class attainment is displayed as a grid where teachers can easily spot learning gaps and monitor observation coverage. There are three different ways to view the grid: Heatmap, Attainment, and Percentage (coverage by percentage.) Filters can be applied to class attainment reports and any framework can be used.
Student attainment – There are two types of student attainment reports: Basic and Detailed. The Basic report is a summary of how many skills they have acquired in comparison to the total for that subject/learning area. The detailed report includes this information but also a list of the specific skills the pupils have achieved and any refinements they have for those.

To access your class attainment grid, first, select Class Attainment from the dashboard.
Then choose your class from the drop-down list.
Select the framework of your choice.
Select the report type of your choice:
- Attainment: Know which skills pupils are emerging, developed, expected or exceeding in.
- Heat Map: See colour-coded observation coverage by number, relative to the amount of skills left to assess
- Percentage: View observation coverage by percentage, colour-coded in relation to percentage covered
To get deeper insights, select a subject, then select sub-learning areas as appropriate. Once you drill down into the report, you will be able to see which skills pupils have and have not achieved by either a dot or gap being present. Some of these dots may be colour-coded to show refinements.

You can create a PDF document of the report suitable for printing.
